Overview
The Anini Dibang Valley Cycle Race, a mountain biking (MTB) event held on 24thSeptember 2023[WP1] , was a resounding success. The race, organized as part of the Keh Meh Haa festival, attracted participants across India and even from Nepal. Jnana Prabodhini

Alumni Foundation supported the wave by raising funds for the T Shirts for volunteers and our representatives attended the event
Key Highlights
Participation: A total of 32 participants, including 2 women participants, took part in the race.
Route: The race passed through a difficult mountainous terrain including hanging rope bridge, covering distance of . 60 km (men) and 39 km (women).
Impact
The event not only showcased the beauty of the Anini Dibang Valley but also promoted a healthy lifestyle and sportsmanship. The presence of dignitaries, including actor and health influencer Mr. Milind Soman and of media persons enhanced the event’s visibility.
Conclusion

The Anini Dibang Valley Cycle Race was organised by a local organization led by Woman Everester Tine Mena who is known to Jnana Prabodhini. Supporting this race helped deepen the bond with Ms Tine Mena and local communities.
UPSC Preliminary examination Course
Location: – Itanagar & Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh
Objectives
The primary goals of the accelerated course was :
Enhance the success probability of participant]s in the UPSC and APPSC Preliminary Examinations by imparting necessary content and skills.
Duration and Location
The course was conducted from 29th January to 9th March, 2024, in Itanagar and Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh. A few aspirants from Dirang (West Kameng) and Kupwada (Jammu & Kashmir) also participated through online mode.
Pedagogy
The course employed a comprehensive approach which covered:
- Building conceptual understanding and establishing linkages between different subjects.
- Regular assessment of students through tests.
- Imparting skills on study methods, planning of study, perspective building
- Discussions on current affairs.
- Interaction with administrators to provide insights into ground realities and challenges while serving in the Civil Services.
Structure
The course covered 12 subjects, with 12 hours allocated to each subject. The faculty team comprised 13 member
Key Events
- Orientation Lecture for faculty: An orientation lecture was conducted to familiarize faculty members with Arunachal Pradesh’s geography, history, culture, demography, and current scenarios.
- Interactive Sessions for students: Participants had the opportunity to interact with officers in the administrative services, gaining valuable insights into exam preparation and work content.
Concluding Session: The concluding session featured addresses by prominent civil society members.Course participants were asked to share their experiences.
Outcomes
The course directly benefited 79 participants, providing them with:
- A deeper understanding of the intricacies of the UPSC/APPSC exam.
- A sound conceptual understanding of the syllabus.
- Regular assessment through periodic tests.
- Psychometric profile analysis and counseling through CoAPT.
Conclusion
The accelerated course successfully achieved its objectives, equipping participants with the necessary knowledge and skills for the UPSC and APPSC Preliminary Examinations. It also fostered national integration by connecting students from various regions. The positive outcomes and feedback from participants and dignitaries highlight the course’s effectiveness.
Intelligence & Aptitude testing
Location: – Jang & Dirang, Arunachal Pradesh
Objectives
- Identify individual strengths, talent, and interests of each student through iA tests.
- Guide students towards suitable educational pursuits and career paths
About the iA Test
- A scientifically designed 3-hour psychometric test.
- Assesses eight abilities and five orientations.
- The activity spanning over a period of 45 days involves testing followed by profile preparationof the student and career counseling.
Implementation
- Partnership: Indian Army, Globant India Pvt Ltd, Jnana Prabodhini.
- Planning: Initial visit to assess local needs and expectations.
- Testing: Conducted in Dirang and Jang schools.
- Counseling: Offline counseling sessions in Dirang and online in Jang.
Outcomes
Direct Beneficiaries: 111 students aged 16-18.
Individual Insights: Assessment of cognitive abilities, strengths, and weaknesses.
Informed Decision-Making: Guidance on career paths and educational pursuits.
Synergy with Kiosk: Kiosks are set up in the schools to give exposure to students about various career options through digital content.
Reduced Student Anxiety: Clarification of perceived limitations felt by students and identification of strengths.

Overall, the iA test intervention provided valuable insights to students, aiding in their career exploration and personal development.
Kiosk (Knowledge Hub)
Location: – Jang & Dirang, Arunachal Pradesh
Objectives
- Provide interactive digital content on various subjects to improve learning outcomes.
- Conduct teacher training programs on effective use of Kiosks.
- Provide recorded sessions about various career options.
Implementation
- Kiosks were set up in Government Higher Secondary School, Dirang and Government Higher Secondary School, Jang.
- Local teachers were trained on:
- Effective use of digital resources.
- Teaching skills like activity-based learning, language development, experiential learning, and thinking skills.
- An orientation session was conducted for teachers at Jang school on 9th April 2024.

Challenges & Learnings
- We faced logistical challenges due to remote location and weather conditions.
- Partnership with RIWATCH and Indian Army facilitated project implementation.
- the project benefitted from local community engagement and interaction of teachers and resource persons installing the Kiosks .
Overall, the Kiosk (Knowledge Hub) project successfully implemented digital content and teacher training in Arunachal Pradesh, contributing to improved learning outcomes and enhanced teaching practices.
Competitive Aptitude test (CoApt)
Location: – Roing & Tezu, Arunachal Pradesh
Objectives
The CoApt test is aimed to:
- Help students understand their skills, abilities, and attitude towards competition.
- Assist students in making informed decisions regarding competitive examinations.
About CoApt
The CoApt test battery is based on Facione’s model of critical thinking, which is essential for success in competitive examinations. The test assesses cognitive skills, metacognition, self-regulation, and dispositions, including analysis, argument building, recognizing assumptions, interpretation, and inference

Conduct of Test
The CoApt test was administered to 150 college students in four towns of Arunachal Pradesh: Roing, Tezu, Itanagar, and Naharlagun. We partnered with local NGOs- RIWATCH and SEWA Bharti- to maximize the reach and impact of the test.
Outcomes
The CoApt test provided the following benefits:
- Direct beneficiaries: 150 students.
- Individual profiles: A profile describing each aspirant’s scores in different tests was prepared, which helped students understand their strengths and weaknesses in self-regulation, competitive spirit, study habits, study skills, and cognitive abilities.
- Individual counseling: Counseling sessions were conducted to provide detailed insights, guidance on improving weaknesses, and strategies for maximizing strengths.
Conclusion
The CoApt test proved to be a valuable tool for students aspiring for competitive examinations. By providing insights into their skills and abilities, the test helped students make informed decisions and develop effective strategies for success.
Career Guidance Sessions
Location: – Tawang and Dirang, Arunachal Pradesh

Overview
Mrunmayi Vaishampayan and Onkar Pradhan, State coordinators for Arunanchal Pradesh for Jnana Prabodhini, Ashutosh Barmukh, Joint Secretary, Jnana Prabodhini, Shamalee Narappanvar, Domain Expert (Science) and Sunil Kadam, Domain Expert (Civil Services Coaching) participated in career guidance sessions at Tawang organized by All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union (AAPSU) on the 27- 28 June 2023. Career guidance session taken by 5 experts in their respective fields was well received by 450+ students.
On the 26th June team visited Sharada mission school at Dirang and conducted career guidance session with girl students.
The team also visited the local government high school at Dirang to take an update of the Aptitude test conducted in the month of Feb-March 2024.
Then team met with Dr. Malin Gombu and at his School in Lumala Kasturba Gandhi Vidyalaya, conducted short career guidance session for students.
Arunachal Need Assessment Tour
During September 2023 Mrinmayee Vaishampayan, state coordinator Arunachal Pradesh for Jnana Prabodhini and Aditya Ponkshe, coordinator for Social Science Studies Centre for Jnana Prabodhini met with youths from Arunachal Pradesh who were trained under various Jnana Prabodhini programmes conducted in last five years. They assessed current aspirations and needs of the youth.
In June 2024 another team met Mr. Amjad Tak, Secretary of Education department, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh to brief him on the activities undertaken and proposed by Jnana Prabodhini in the state. He appreciated efforts of Jnana Prabodhini in the region and offered all the help possible from the Govt side when required.
Needs emerged

- One on one discussions, handholding and guidance to their parents about various career options
Team also had meeting with civil administration, teachers and local organisations to assess needs and help plan programmes for 2025 . The needs identified were as below,
- Skill enhancement programme for Primary school teachers
- Skill enrichment programme for Middle school students
- Creating multimedia documentation of culture of Arunachal Pradesh.

- Online science, Maths educational sessions for 10th ,12th and Gyan Setu program in Western Arunachal
