Learn about renewable & non-renewable, abiotic & biotic resources through play! π
β Progress: Story Time
π§π»
Bhai:
Hello, little scientist! π
Today we will play a game to learn about natural resources β things we get from nature like
stones, water, air, plants, animals and more. π
π Things we get from living organisms (food, wood, wool, etc.).
Part 1: Non-renewable Resources ππͺ¨
Drag and drop the things that are non-renewable natural resources into the treasure box.
π
Non-renewable resources like graphite, sulphur, marble, granite, diamonds etc. are taken from rocks.
They form very slowly and can get used up, so they are costly and exhaustible.
Put only the rocks/minerals that form very slowly.
β
β
β
Part 2: Renewable Abiotic Resources ππ§π¬οΈ
Drag and drop the renewable, non-living (abiotic) resources into the magic cloud box.
π
Water, air, wind and sunlight are renewable. Nature replaces them again and again β like rain
filling rivers every year.
They are abiotic because they are non-living.
π§ Water
π¬οΈ Air / Wind
βοΈ Sunlight
β½ Petrol
πͺ¨ Coal piece
Cloud Box: Renewable abiotic ππ§π¬οΈ
Put non-living resources that nature refills again and again.
β
β
β
Part 3: Biotic (Living) Resources ππ³π
Drag and drop the living things that are biotic renewable resources into the life box.
π
All plants, animals and tiny microbes are biotic resources.
They die, but new ones are born by reproduction, so they are renewable.
π³ Tree / Plant
π Cow
π Fish
π Car
πͺ¨ Stone
Life Box: Biotic resources π
Put living things that can reproduce and increase in number.
β
β
β
Part 4: Things We Get from Living Organisms ππ§Άπͺ΅
Drag and drop the things that we get from plants or animals into the basket.
π
From plants and animals we get food (fruits, vegetables, grains, milk, eggs, meat, oils, spices) and
other things like wood, paper, wool, cotton, leather, herbs, honey, medicines etc.
π₯ Milk
πͺ΅ Wood
π§Ά Wool
𧴠Plastic bottle
π½οΈ Steel plate
Basket: Things from plants & animals π§Ί
Put only things that come from living organisms.

You Did It! Natural Resources Champion ππ
Letβs see your marks and revise what we learned.
π Non-renewable resources like minerals and precious stones are exhaustible.
π§ππ¬οΈ Water, air, wind, sunlight are renewable abiotic resources.
ππ³π Plants and animals are biotic renewable resources.
ππ§Άπͺ΅ We get our food and many materials from living organisms.
Why each option is correct or wrong π
Part 1 β Non-renewable resources π
β Diamond π β A precious stone formed deep inside Earth; takes millions of years, so non-renewable.
β Granite rock πͺ¨ β A hard rock from Earthβs crust; cannot be quickly replaced.
β Graphite βοΈ β A form of carbon found in rocks; used in pencil βleadβ, non-renewable.
β Water π§ β Renewable; refilled by rain every year.
β Tree π³ β Living and can grow again; biotic renewable.
β Cow π β A living animal; biotic renewable, not a mineral or stone.
Part 2 β Renewable abiotic resources ππ§π¬οΈ
β Water π§ β Renewable; rains and rivers keep refilling water.
β Air / Wind π¬οΈ β Always present around us and moving.
β Sunlight βοΈ β Comes every day from the Sun; cannot be βused upβ.
β Petrol β½ β Made from fossil fuels; non-renewable.
β Coal πͺ¨ β Another fossil fuel; used up faster than it forms.
Part 3 β Biotic (living) resources ππ³π
β Tree π³ β Living plant; reproduces and grows, so renewable.
β Cow π β Living animal; gives milk and can have babies.
β Fish π β Living animal; can lay eggs and increase in number.
β Car π β Man-made machine, not a living thing.
β Stone πͺ¨ β Non-living rock, abiotic.
Part 4 β Things from living organisms ππ§Άπͺ΅
β Milk π₯ β Comes from animals like cows, goats, buffaloes.
β Wood πͺ΅ β Comes from trees (plants).
β Wool π§Ά β Comes from sheep and some other animals.
β Plastic bottle 𧴠β Man-made from chemicals, not directly from living things.
β Steel plate π½οΈ β Made from metal; not from plants or animals.

NATURAL RESOURCES HERO π
This is to say that our little scientist understands renewable & non-renewable, abiotic & biotic resources.
βWe must use non-renewable resources carefully and protect all living things.β
