🌡️ The Science Behind It: CONVECTION!

  • Hot water is LIGHTER (less dense) - it wants to float UP! ☝️
  • Cold water is HEAVIER (more dense) - it wants to sink DOWN! 👇
  • When they're together, they create moving currents - that's CONVECTION!
  • Dye helps us SEE these invisible water currents moving around! 🌊

Real Life Example: When you boil water in a pot, hot water rises to the top and cooler water sinks to the bottom - creating a swirling motion. This same thing happens in oceans, the air (wind!), and even inside Earth! 🌍

Your Mission: Help me figure out what happens when we mix hot water, cold water, and dye in tanks! Will the dye float up, sink down, or mix everywhere?
